Bro, let’s see you murder 20 school kids in under 10 minutes with a fucking fork.
I think the point he was saying was that people would find another way. Like bombs or arrows. Besides guns aren’t the problem it’s the mindset of the people using them. Disturbed teenagers suffering isolation, police with entitlement issues and no functional empathy, and people suffering depression (and so forth). Like banning forks, people would just eat with their hands, or spoons, or chopsticks. People who over eat do so because they either have emotional problems or other reasons. His point is completely valid.
Your average mass shooter probably couldn’t build a working bomb. They’re isolated loners…not Al Qaeda recruits.
And the arrow thing is frigging ridiculous. Yeah, these people ain’t Katniss.
Other countries have sensible gun control laws. And I don’t hear about teens there going on crazy murder sprees with a bow and arrow, Legolas-style every other week.
I think it’s hilarious (and terrifying) that we’re still pretending gun control won’t work. Like the stats are in and they’re legit incontrovertible. And also totally logical. Fewer guns = fewer gun deaths. It’s literally that simple.
