Why you don’t mess with the character the DM described as “potentially godlike”

DM: OK. Your AC is?… Oh, right….*rolls* Not only do you die, but all subsequent reincarnations die simultaneously and your existence is all but wiped from the earth. The only proof you ever existed is the boodstains that all other party members are covered in now.

The player formerly called Knight: so the others must be stunned by that… does my new character get an attack of opportunity?

So, uh… yeah.

This DM grossly overused his power.
