These moments of progress are why cis people are mad. Once upon a time they could treat trans people as subhuman and they NEVER faced any repruccusions. There was no social consciousness about trans people as a vulnerable minority. We were just perceived as freaks and perverts. Now, the slightest progress is being made where a headline about someone losing their job bc of transphobia is about a bigoted cis person, not a trans person being discriminated against. That’s what cis people are so opposed to: having to respect trans people’s basic human rights.
