It is perfect!
#LGBTQ
Why can’t it just be the LGBTQ community why do we need to separate it by race. Isn’t the point of our fight to come together as a community now within our own fight we are separating from each other. If this is the case we won’t win.
ok correct me if I’m wrong here but black members of the queer community are constantly erased and looked over. It’s so incredibly rare to see any kind of representation of queer POC in the media or just in the community itself. That plus the amount of racism within the queer community is why a flag like this has to exist in the first place. Creating another flag for a specific group within the community isn’t separating from each other, it’s acknowledging that there’s more than just one kind of person we need to be fighting for.
The LGBTQ community has all manners of flags that were created so that communities within the larger community are singularly represented. It’s our job to fly all those flags and ensure voices that feel unheard are uplifted. We’ll only succeed together. (And I don’t need to hear a word about “too many flags.” There’s no such thing.)
So if you see your queer siblings empowering themselves: don’t ask them to quiet down so you can keep speaking. Support them, uplift them, amplify them. And love them.
Honestly this is much better than trying to change the rainbow flag by adding black and brown
i still like the black and brown because 1 the black is meant to be for people who died in the aids crisis and the brown is fine idk what the problem is
